Top 5 Spring Break Destinations

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Southern Miss chapter.

It’s that time of year again! The break every collegiette anticipates. Spring break that is! With Spring break being just around the corner, most people probably have already decided where they want to spend this much needed break away from school and work. One thing for sure is that there are several hot spots to go to enjoy your vacation.  There are five destinations that students are most likely to visit during this spring break.

Panama City Beach, Florida

Panama seems to be the place where most collegiettes go for spring break. You’re more than likely going to run into a few classmates or people you know that go to the same school as you. Who would want to miss out on this fun, inexpensive trip to the beach where daily activities consist of partying all day and night? It’s not like you have to wake up and go to class the next morning. So, why not stay up all night at clubs that don’t close until the wee hours of the morning?

Cancun, Mexico

Who hasn’t dreamed of spending their spring break in Mexico? It’s a chance to get out of the country, eat some great food, drink exotic drinks and party on the beaches or in the club. You also get a chance to bask in the warm weather, and not to mention, experience some of the adventurous excursions Mexico has to offer.

Miami, Florida

“Welcome to Miami, bienvenido a Miami!” If you want to get away to a more sophisticated hot spot filled with hot guys showing off those muscles glistening in the sun, then Miami is the place for you. Miami is known for it’s non-stop nightlife, meaning the party in Miami never stops. Will Smith said it best in his summer hit, “bouncing in the club where the heat is on, all night on the beach ‘til the break of dawn.” Miami is also the place to be if you’re looking to get away from partying with your fellow college classmates, unlike Panama.

Cruise to Bahamas

If you’re looking to really get away, and I mean really get away. Board a party cruise to none other than the tropical Bahamian Islands. You get a chance to party on a cruise ship and on an island. It’s the best of both worlds! Also, prices for cruises to the Bahamas are pretty cheap around spring break. You can party on an island in the tropical sunshine. Need I say more?

Jersey Shores

Home of MTV’s “Jersey Shore”, the Jersey Shores have since become a trendy spot for spring breakers. As seen on television, the partying at the local clubs, like the popular “Karma”, the beaches and the shopping all seem like a great way to spend this short break. Who knows? You might run into one of the famous cast members from Jersey Shore.

So, don’t be stuck at home this spring break. Pack your bags, grab some friends and make your way to one of these five vacation spots. These places are guaranteed to show you a good time!
