While most people tend to look at movies as a temporary escape from life, Kevin Driver views them as so much more. This Sonoma State senior has a passion for movies and all the writing that gets put into them.
“I’ve seen over 3,000 movies,” said Driver, “I have them listed out on a document too.” It seems only fitting that this communications major spent a couple summers actually working at a movie theater. In the future, he hopes to eventually work for a movie company and take part in the creation of all things film.
“Hopefully after I graduate this ear, I’ll move to L.A,” said driver. “Get an entry-level position for some movie company and eventually end up as a screen writer for a big movie.” Driver loves movies that make him laugh and is inspired by the writer/director Woody Allen.
“Woody Allen is a great writer and director,” said Driver. “He always makes me laugh and I’ve learned from him that making people laugh is one of the most important things you can do.”
Driver has a couple of favorite movies including Full Metal Jacket, Rocky, and Field of Dreams.
Aside from his love of movies, Driver also enjoys hockey, hiking, and is a huge fan of the show Lost. He even has a blog about his theories towards the show Lost. He is currently a features writer for the Sonoma State newspaper, The Star, and enjoys writing about the events he gets to attend.
Driver has also been lucky enough in his life to go skydiving for both his 19th and 20th birthdays.
Driver currently lives off campus and is looking forward to graduating in May despite that fact that he has one more summer school class to finish before he is officially done. This Pleasanton native is single at the moment but has no regrets about playing the field his senior year.
