“Least this song is a smash.” Arian Grande’s new song Thank u, Next has become a big hit, not only for herself but for independent women as well.

In the beginning, I thought it only focused on Ariana Grande’s recent break up with Pete Davidson. The introduction of the song “Thought I’d end up with Sean…Wrote some songs about Ricky…And for Pete, I’m so thankful…Wish I could say, “Thank you” to Malcolm” This made me believe this song was gonna be a burn to all her ex’s and be a Taylor Swift and Beyonce hit, but it was different ex-breakup song.Ariana Grande expressed on her song on how her exes made her stronger and learn on what man she is looking for. They gave her love, patience, and pain which helped her at the end. She dealt with many things such as the bombing at her May 2017 Manchester concert that left her with panic attacks and other PTSD symptoms to her ex’s boyfriend death Malcolm who died from a drug overdose. This song shows on how she overcame everything and ready for the next to come.

She expresses “Plus, I met someone else. We havin’ better discussions. I know they say I move on too fast, but this one gon’ last ‘Cause her name is Ari And I’m so good with that.” This shows on her independence and to many women that they do not need a man in their life to control them. I showed me on how you do not need to depend on men, but also not the goal in your life. Everyone is focused on marrying and finding the one, but Ariana showed how you need to love yourself. Everyone has a different opinion on what the song is, but this is shown to me on how on taking time to love yourself first will help you find someone. Ariana Grande also wrote in the song, she hopes to walk down the aisle one time only. It showed how you should take time to find the one instead of marrying people instantly.

Ariana Grande latest songs told how to breathe and keep moving forward to become independent. If you have not listened to the song, I recommend it because not only it’s about feminist power but also an amazing beat. God is a woman for sure.
