Say hello to your new addiction collegiate’s, Pinterest.

Pinterest is a website where you can “pin” your favorite images onto different virtual boards you create. Thus allowing you to have virtual bulletin boards pinned with pictures of everything from your dream vacation spots to adorable animals and lust worthy shoes.

Right now Pinterest is an invitation only website but if you request an invite it only takes a few days to be accepted. After signing up Pinterest syncs with your Facebook account; that means you automatically start following the pin boards of any of your Facebook friends who also have an account on Pinterest. In addition you can search your personal interests through the photo or board button and simply click “pin it” to any image that catches your eye.

The Pinterest layout is a news feed full of images from pinners that you follow. A unique feature about Pinterest is that when you click on an image, it automatically links you to the original website. This allows you to buy the beautiful dress you pinned for formal or get the recipe for the mouth watering mint chocolate brownies to make with the girls.

The popularity of Pinterest is continuing to rise and it was recently named one of the top ten social networks for the internet. Take it from someone who spends way too much time on the website, when you pin it is a combination of being inspired, wanting to buy a new wardrobe, gaining motivation to workout, planning a fake wedding, decorating your dream home and becoming extremely hungry.
