Dorm Dishes: How to Make Christmas Crack

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SMU chapter.

This majorly addictive snack is the perfect sweet & salty blend made with a combination of Cheerios, Rice Chex, pretzel sticks, M&M’s and white chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Cheerios
  • 3 cups Rice Chex
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex
  • 1 cups Pretzel Sticks
  • 2-3 cups M&M’s
  • 24 oz White Chocolate

What I love about this recipe is that it’s so adaptable! You can toss in or take out whatever you want and make it your favorite Christmas snack.

Instructions

1. In a large bowl combine the Cheerios, Rice Chex, Pretzels and M&M’s, making sure that everything is evenly mixed.

2. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds.

3. Once the chocolate has a smooth consistency, drizzle the chocolate over the mix and combine with a wooden spoon. Make sure all the cereal is covered in chocolate. Go right on ahead and add extra chocolate for rich, thick coating.

4. When the entire batch has been combined, lay it out to dry on a sheet of wax paper. Let it sit for one hour so the chocolate is cool and rehardened. Break it up into medium pieces and serve. This will for sure be the highlight of any Christmas Party! Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
