Winter 2013: 5 Essential Accessories

Winter is easy. Hats, scarves, gloves. Right? Sort of. The chilliest season of the year is the perfect time to amp up your accessory usage. However, you can make winter 2013 the most stylish season yet with these latest trends of the 5 hottest accessories.

1.    The Riding Hat or Beanie

Hats are my favorite accessory no matter what season, so winter is amazing to try all different types. Head fashion is one of the simplest ways to spice up any outfit. It adds instant effortless style.

#1: Riding Hat- Elegant with a touch of detail with mini side lace

Online: Catarzi Exclusive to ASOS Riding Hat $53.39

or

#2: Beanie- Rock a solid color and make sure you buy one that can fit over your ears to complete the “beanie” look

Online: H&M Knitted Hat $9.95

2.    Two-Sided Scarf

Scarves this season come in more patterns than one. No matter what kind of scarf it is, make sure yours has two distinct patterns to play up your neck candy in the cold.

Online: Zara double-sided soft checked scarf $34.95

3. Leather Trimmed Jackets

Save those puffer jackets for late night hot chocolate runs! Winter coats are an opportunity to represent personal style. Long jackets with trims of leather are fashion forward this season. There are so many to choose from, treat yourself to a chic jacket this season that fits your style best.

Online: Naf Naf Grey Jacket $120.00

4. Unique Ear Warmers

Ear Warmers are the best way to add sparkle to a cold and blistery day this winter. However, try an ear warmer with a twist: try a knot, a jewel, or chevron patterned. They are easy to find anywhere and inexpensive.

Online: Dorothy Perkins Apricot Shimmer Headband $9.00

5. Combined Gloves

Dresses, pants, and blazers are chic this season with classical solid coloring. To add some “oh yes” to your winter ensemble, try gloves that are two toned. The best options are gloves that are leather on one side and a pattern on the other. This fashion trend is a subtle way to show off your stylish self in an understated way.

Online: Zara Combined Leather Glove $30.95
