Spotlight: Molly Kapala ’20

Molly Kapala is strong willed, smart, funny, witty, and a true force to be reckoned with; I am so lucky to be friends with her! So for my first Her Campus article, I was so excited to interview her about SJU and being a D1 Softball player.

Year: Freshman

Major: Accounting

Hometown: Tinley Park, IL

Involved in: D1 Softball, Hawks vs. Cancer, PSIP, and Relay for Life.

Her Campus: What is your favorite food?

Molly Kapala: Hot dogs, pizza, goldfish, chocolate chip cookies, and Wawa chocolate milk.

 

HC: What is your favorite thing about SJU?

MK: The people and softball.

 

HC: What position do you play in softball?

MK: Shortstop!

HC: What is your favorite sports team?

MK: The Chicago Cubs.

 

HC: What is your biggest pet peeve?

MK: Middle parts.

 

HC: What is a fun fact about you?

MK: I am a state chess champ, secretly great at tennis, have an irrational fear of bellybuttons and have zero patience.

 

HC: What is your favorite song?

MK: American Pie by Don Mcclain and any song by the Beatles.

 

HC: Who is your role model?

MK: My older sister Meghan because she has accomplished a lot. She started her own organization at school for women in business and just got an internship with JP Morgan!

HC: What is one thing you can’t live without?

MK: Chocolate chip cookies.

 

HC: What’s the best thing about being a D1 athlete?

MK: Being a part of a team.

 

HC: Where can we find you on campus?

MK : Campion.

 

HC: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

MK: Married with kids and opening a bar near campus called “Pub Safety”.

 

HC: What is the best day of your life so far?

MK: Prom! It was just the best time. I had so much fun.
