Spotlight: Jordan Richards

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SJU chapter.

Jordan Richards is one of the friendliest and most selfless people I know, which is why I am lucky enough to call her one of my Sigma sisters. She is trendy, funny, and down to earth.  Jordan is someone that you should definitely get to know on campus while you still have the chance!

Her Campus: Hometown?

Jordan Richards: Baltimore, MD

HC: Major?

JR: I’m a double major in International Business and Marketing, with a Spanish minor.

HC: Taken or single?

JR: Single

HC: Deal breaker and dealmaker?

JR: Deal breaker is definitely awkward conversation. I can talk for hours on end so if there’s uncomfortable silence something’s not right.. oh and narcissists (not cute).

Deal maker is definitely someone that can make me laugh! But as far as first impressions, eyes!!!

HC: biggest pet peeve?

JR: Nail biting.. ew.

HC: What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?

JR: Surround yourself with people who reflect who you want to be. And never eat Campion sushi.

HC: Who is your biggest role model and why?

JR: The 4-year old frenchie #goals that I babysit because she doesn’t let anything at all take away her happiness and laughs all day long at the little things. Also because she has a 7-year old Italian boyfriend that speaks 4 languages and honestly that’s just really impressive.

HC: What is one thing most people don’t know about you?

JR: I’ve been to 15 countries and could see myself living happily in any of them.

HC: What is one thing you can’t live without?

JR: My extraordinary family and hilarious friends. So cliche, so true.

HC: Favorite thing about SJU?

JR: The people. I’ve met the most inspiring people through my sorority, APEX, my internship, weekly service and just being around campus in and out of class. I’ve only been encouraged to grow since I stepped on campus in 2013 and can thank SJU for everything.

HC: If you could give advice to your freshman self, what would it be?

JR: Soak up every single minute because it really does fly by. And the freshman 15 isn’t a myth, as my little brother was thrilled to tell me when I came home for my first winter break.

HC: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

JR: Living in a sweet apartment with a couple of friends, in a solid job that allows me to do something new every weekend. Hopefully a small dog is involved as well.

HCXO,

Kara
