According to the movie Mean Girls, “In Girl World, Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total sl*t and no other girls can say anything about it.” Except people do say something. And the worst part is that costume probably cost more than you’d like to admit.

We all know that smell that hits you walking into a Halloween store: pleather, cheap plastic, and helium. Nothing is more stressful than searching for a Halloween costume that costs more than you’d like to admit. We here at Her Campus SJU got together to search to the best DIY costumes us frugal females can put together without the guilt. Even better yet, we can make some fun and flirty for half the cost.
