Campus Cutie: Kyle Thompson

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SJU chapter.

This week I had the privilege of interviewing one of the stars of the SJU basketball team, sophomore Kyle Thompson. Kyle was one of my very first friends at SJU and has become like an older brother to me over the past two years. He’s down to earth, witty, and most importantly he is a true gentleman. Enjoy getting to know a little bit about one of the sweetest cuties on campus.

HC: Hometown?

KT: Mount Laurel, New Jersey

HC: Major?

KT: IHS

HC: Are you involved in anything on campus?

KT: * laughs * I’m on the SJU men’s basketball team.

HC: What position do you play?

KT: Shooting guard!

HC: What do you expect from this season?

KT: It will definitely be a lot better than last year and we will contend the A10 championship for sure.

HC: What is your pregame routine?

KT: Before every game I run and lift to get a sweat because I probably won’t during the game and I always need to be chewing gum before and during the game.

HC: Taken or single?

KT: At the moment, single.

HC: Dealmaker and deal breaker?

KT: The dealmaker is when she’s very outgoing and good with my mom and dad. The deal breaker is if she smokes.

HC: Where do you want to be in 5 years?

KT: I’ll probably be in graduate school getting my masters to become a physician’s assistant.

HC: Who is your role model?

KT: My 3 brothers Bryan, Chad, and Connor because we are all so close and I learn so much from them every day, especially from my younger brother Connor.

HC: What’s your biggest pet peeve?

KT: Homophobic language

HC: What is your biggest fear?

KT: Heights and snakes, I’m terrified of snakes.

HC: What is your favorite food?

KT: It’s a toss up between spaghetti and barbeque ribs!

HC: Best advice you’ve ever been given?

KT: My father taught me manners— to always call older people sir and ma’am and to always look them in the eye.

HC: What is one thing you can’t live without?

KT: My family honestly. I always love to go home to see them and be with them. There’s no way I could live without them.

HC: What is something people don’t know about you?

KT: I learned to juggle when I was in 3rd grade.

HC: Where can you be found around campus?

KT: Probably of course at Hagan or in the library or taking naps during any downtime I have. So probably mainly my bed.

Go Hawks!
