The recent uncharacteristically warm winter weather has led to one of my favorite phenomena ever: DOGS ON CAMPUS. Since I’m missing my two adorable puppers who are at home, it always makes me super happy to see some pups romping about while a lacrosse game is going on or simply taking a leisurely stroll with their owner.

But, Hawk Hill isn’t the only dog-friendly place in the area. There are tons of restaurants, hotels, and parks in Philly that welcome pets of all kinds.

Here are five pet-friendly places in Philly to take your dog (or cat!) the next time he or she comes to visit:

White Dog Café: As the name may suggest, patrons at this restaurant located in University City can bring along their dogs when dining outside. Your furry friend will even receive a bowl of water to cool down on a warm day. (Address: 3420 Sansom Street)

The Schuylkill River Park Dog Run: This dog park in Fitler Square is made up of K9 grass, an innovative turf created just for dogs! There are runs of all sizes and water fountains for your pup to drink up after a day of frolicking. (Address: 25th between Locust and Delancey)

Hotel Monaco: This hotel, located in Old City, welcomes humans as well as pet guests, at no extra charge. There is no limit on how many pets you can bring, nor size restrictions, and the hotel presents each pet with a gift upon arrival. (Address: 433 Chestnut Street)

Chic Petique: This hip shop located in Northern Liberties focuses on all-natural pet foods and remedies. Pet owners can also find toys, leashes, collars, carriers, beds, bowls, and fashion. For the dogs that are foodies, there are pet snacks shaped like pizza, sushi, and more. (1040 N. 2nd Street, Unit 401)
