Western astrology has made its way into mainstream media in the last couple of years, and has grown into something that many people have taken an interest in. Whether it’s learning more about your birth chart, reading your horoscope, or downloading the app “Co-Star”, the latest astrology trend has sparked the need for self-awareness and soul-searching through this unique pseudoscience.

Every zodiac sign is associated with prominent personality traits and a general way of conduct. More specifically, each sign embodies a distinct aesthetic that can be described in terms of movies, fictional characters, book genres, or perhaps even…hangout spots in San Jose.

San Jose, being the center of silicon valley, is home to several tech companies, however, it has so much more to offer on a recreational level. People often tend to overlook the multitude of gems that are hiding in plain sight. This comprehensive guide is for those who are curious as to what unique hangout spot in San Jose best resonates with their respective zodiac sign.

March 22-April 19

Energetic, passionate, and driven, Aries have this innate desire to compete and conquer challenges. A suitable challenge for them would be a visit to the Smash City rage room, where they can channel their adventurous and competitive spirit into a fun, cathartic bonding experience. The act of smashing objects can motivate them to feel empowered and give them a sense of accomplishment.

April 20-May 20

The laid-back, lavish-loving Taurus loves to indulge in the finer, more pleasurable things that life has to offer. This luxurious Sunday brunch restaurant is the perfect place for them to relax, catch up with friends, and enjoy some high quality, expensive food. The urbane decor of the restaurant is also a stand-out factor to them, as they love visually pleasing environments. It’s a great combination of all the things they love: food, ambiance, good company, and comfort.

May 21-June 20

The twins typically have a knack for knowledge and intellectual stimulation. Since they are primarily driven by curiosity, what better way to satiate it than visiting The Tech Interactive?  Geminis thrive on adaptability and are great critical thinkers – being able to visit a science and technology museum with an array of cool exhibits would allow them to embrace new experiences and enjoy hands-on learning experiences.

June 21-July 22

These homebodies love lowkey, cozy hangouts with people they care about. A picnic at the Japanese Friendship Garden would certainly bring Cancers the comfort, quality time, and peace they crave with their loved ones. They are caring, nurturing individuals who value simplicity and are not too picky with their plans, as long as they are surrounded by friends and family.

July 23-August 22

Flashy and flamboyant, Leos don’t mind being the center of attention from time to time. They are great public speakers who feel liberated by being their most unfiltered, unapologetic selves. Thus, a comedy club would be the best way for them to express themselves and show up authentically. Leos also radiate positive energy, so this can be a lighthearted, fun way to create experiences filled with joy and laughter.

This bookstore is a place where Virgos can read and hold intellectual conversations with like-minded people. October 23-November 21

The Scorpion loves a good mystery — these individuals are deeply intrigued by the mystical, scary, and unknown. An escape room would be a great way for them to utilize their FBI-like skills and solve a mystery. It would also be a nice way for them to seek out the excitement and thrill they crave. Escape rooms are designed to be challenging, but Scorpios are focused, determined people who do not give up easily.

November 22-December 21

Adventurous and spontaneous. Need I say more? The optimistic and nature-loving Sagittarius would love nothing more than to go on a hike with a bunch of friends. It’s not simply the act of hiking that’s valuable to them, it’s also the opportunity to explore hidden trails, and essentially, go on an exciting little adventure. These individuals are huge risk-takers, and are willing to challenge themselves by leaving their comfort zone.

December 22-January 19

Strategic, traditional, and focused are three words that describe Capricorns, but they are also three words that describe the skills needed to be apt at the board game, Monopoly. There would be no better place for these individuals to feel at their best, than in a gigantic monopoly game that extends through a park. Even if they aren’t paying the outrageous $200 fee to play the game, it’s still a place that they can visit for fun, since it literally screams Capricorn.

January 20-February 18

These unconventional and eccentric individuals love thinking outside the box and exploring what might not always appeal to the majority. The creative and sensitive Pisces loves to dabble in anything artistic, so Petroglyph Ceramic Lounge would be the perfect place to express their feelings in a tangible way. It is not only comforting and fun, but also a therapeutic and healing activity for them.
