3 Girl Talk Podcasts To Help Get You Through This Semester

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SJSU chapter.

Navigating adulthood as a young woman can be nerve-wracking if you don’t feel like you have a support system or a sense of community. This is especially true when it comes to college because you spend a lot of time alone. It’s normal to feel like a little fish in a big pond because being in college means becoming independent. With the upcoming semester approaching, we can expect to attend the majority of our classes online.

We can all agree that remote learning can get lonely sometimes and it can make you feel like you’re cut off from the world. To make your semester a little less lonely, I recommend listening to podcasts! Listening to podcasts is a great way to educate and entertain yourself during these isolating times. Here are three podcasts to get you through this moment and this semester.

  1. GOES WITHOUT SAYING

Looking for conversations about deep-cut topics on feminism, mental health, and sexuality mixed in with hilarious commentary? Well then, Goes Without Saying is the podcast for you. The podcast is hosted by two best friends, Sephy and Wing, who use their platform to create an inclusive and safe space for all women on the internet. On their show, Sephy and Wing talk candidly about sex, relationships, and mental health. These two have an entertaining dynamic and are well versed in Gen-Z culture. Listening to them feels like being at a sleepover with your best friends!

  1. GROWING WITH THE FLOW

If the color sage green was a person, it would be Nayna Florence. On Growing With The Flow, Nayna chats about all things adulting and important topics like sustainability, activism, and mental health. Nayna studies Economics at the University of Edinburgh. As a senior in college, she’s gained important knowledge regarding university life and how to maintain your physical and mental health. The podcast provides significant insight on how hard growing up can be but also touches on how to make the best out of your early 20s.

  1. WHAT WE SAID

There’s nothing better than a pair of besties who host a podcast together. What We Said is hosted by BFFs Jaci Marie and Chelsey Jade. Their podcasts cover topics such as business, wellness, and relationships. Jaci and Chelsey radiate cool mom energy by openly talking about their transition to adulthood and how growing up can be hard but ultimately rewarding once you get the hang of it. They also invite special guests for interviews about their social media platforms and businesses!
