Fall In Love With Fall Fashion

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Ship chapter.

The warm long days of summer are quickly transitioning into the cool days of fall. During this time of changes it can be easy to not be able to keep up with the latest fall fashion trends. Despite the craziness of the semester with papers, projects and tests you can still look your best while trekking from Reisner to Dauphin.  Here are a few tips to keep in mind.

Keep It Simple (and elegant!)Some days it may be hard to take time to really put thought into an outfit.  One of the easiest ways to look great and still feel comfortable is to stick with the basics. Fall is the perfect time to throw on a simple t-shirt, your favorite jeans, and a nice cardigan. To add elegance add a statement necklace.

Break the rules.Wearing White after Labor Day has become totally acceptable. So ladies,  pull out those white pants and white blazer. Suggestions are to pair a blazer with a little black dress, over a cute top paired with jeans or a pair of shorts.

Dare to try denim on denim.Denim has been seen in many forms on the runway.  Take your denim jacket and put it over your favorite summer dress or pair a denim top with a pair of colored jeans or khakis. Also, roll your jeans and pair them with cute flats or booties and you are good to go!

Shine bright.Bright pastel colors of spring 2014 have also been spotted on the runway. Keep in mind you do not want to blind others while walking through the CUB. This trend can totally be transformed into a fall look by pairing your bright pants with a black blouse and also a pair of leopard flats! Leopard has also been “spotted” on the runway this season in various forms.
