Ladies it’s that time of the year again! Boyfriends are making last minute plans, husbands are looking for the latest diamond from Zales and this day wouldn’t be complete without reminiscing about past loves and would of, could of should ofs. Bitter for some, even sweet for others. Yes I’m talking about Valentine’s Day.
Now I may be somewhat biased but let me be the first to refute the claim that Valentine’s Day is just for women. This is the one day that we put away whatever problems we may have and just celebrate our love. It’s the one day that couples put away their cell phones and appreciate each other. It’s the one day that the words “I love you” never have a bad timing. The one day that you can never overdose on kisses. The one day that cupid’s arrows finds its way to everyone’s heart. The thought of getting your boyfriend/husband a gift has probably crossed your mind a few times…I hope. Does he get something, if so then what?
If this is your first v-day together, don’t feel the need to spend too lavishly your relationship is still new and growing. But if you’ve been together for awhile then go ahead, but keep in my mind the next year you’re going to have to out due what you did the previous year, so pace yourself. Next question is, what do I get him? Men are incredibly difficult to shop, more so than women mainly because our wants and desires can be very ambiguous. Tickets to his favorite sporting event, concert performance if all else fails gift cards to his favorite store. Or if you think his fashion sense is a little bit behind the times then upgrade his wardrobe. Let’s face it every woman has a certain idea of what they want their man to look like.
Last but surely not least every man gets excited when he sees tags for Victoria’s Secret. I’m a living witness to it. So let’s have a toast you and me and celebrate our love
