It’s that time of year again…time to start thinking about next semester. More recently, Sewanee went through its process of room draw for the 2016-2017 school year. As a freshman, this can be a very daunting process. Here are a few thoughts that went through my head as I went through room draw for the first time.
1. That moment when you realize you have to find a roommate for next year
2. When you see your room draw number and realize you will invitably be in Gorgas next year
3. When someone asks you if you have strategized for room draw
4. The glorious moment when you find your roommate for next year
5. Arriving to the vaguely organized process that is room draw
6. When you have survived room draw as a freshman without getting Gorgas
So sorry to those poor freshman who had to go with Gorgas…I’ll be laughing from my air conditioned room in Quintard.
