Spots is a FREE (yes you read that correctly) housing app made specifically for college students. This app enables you to find an affordable living space in whatever city you choose from another college student just like you. I downloaded the app and I was very impressed with how easy and efficient the app works!! You can login through Facebook or simply enter your student email address to create your own profile. You can choose to be a “host” or to be “just looking.” However, you can change your status at any time very easily.
To begin looking for a place to stay, you simply search what city you are wanting to go and all the available “spots” in that area will become visible.. Once you find an available space in your desired location, click on the little house and immedately the host’s profile will appear, including pictures and important info about he or she. A simple swipe to the right and pictures of the “spot” and important info, such as if drinking is allowed will be seen.
I was extremely impressed with the prices of the rooms; most are less than $30 a night!!
College kids definitely understand the definition of a “tight budget.”
Overall, I would HIGHLY (10/10) suggest downloading this app ASAP. It’s new on the market right now, but I can see it definitely becoming a hot new app that every college student will be using. It’s a great, super easy (seriously SO easy) way to not only find an affordable room, but to also meet college students from all over the country. I mean what more could you ask for? A free download, a cheap room, a possible new bestie…What are you waiting for? Don’t waste another minute stressing out about where you’ll be staying this summer and download Spots today!
