What qualities do you find most attractive in boy/girl: Honesty–because without honesty you cannot trust the person you are with and that can create a toxic relationship

Biggest Pet Peeve: When someone steps on the back of your flip-flop, I really, really hate that

Spirit Animal: Probably an otter because I love the water, and I love to play around and have a great time.  But they are also smart creatures with the hearts of children and I identify with that on a spiritual level.

Weird Body Fact: When I was little I wanted to win Simon Says, and it was down to two people, me and another kid.  Whoever sat down the fastest was the winner.  As a result, I kind of just plopped down and dislocated a vertebrae on my neck slightly, so every time I look to the right, my neck cracks looking there and looking back to center

Describe your sex life in a Movie Title: The Jungle Book

What is the most embarrassing song on your iTunes? U make a ninja wanna f**k – die antwoord

What is your most embarrassing Sewanee story?

One time a friend and I decided to skinny dip at Lake Dimmick, and we were swimming around when some guys randomly showed up.  We left our suits on the dock so we swam all the way to the little island across from the dock and waited naked in the lilypads naked until they left.

Your two main focuses at Sewanee are theater and science. What is it like splitting your time between these two–rather different–subjects? How has this affected your Sewanee experience?

I have to admit it’s pretty difficult, having labs for both theatre and science. Including extra curricular activities in the afternoon, not to mention being part of Greek life, it makes it pretty hard to have free time.  However, I wouldn’t change it for a thing because I am passionately involved with both.  Sometimes it’s hard to decide which subject I need to spend more time on though; for example, should I read this scientific paper more in depth or memorize my monologue more?

You are very interested and talented in the performing arts. Of the shows in which you have participated, which have you enjoyed the most?

The show that I enjoyed the most was the a cappella concert second semester of my freshman year (May 2015).  I had never had a solo before with Cambiata and I got to sing Latch by Sam Smith.  It was the first time anyone had heard me sing, so it was a big moment for me.  The audience was cheering, and it felt amazing to be in the spotlight singing a song that was close to my heart with memories from Bonnaroo that summer.  All of my friends cheering me on, and the reactions on yikyak after were all surprisingly all positive. It made me feel great.

What is your favorite Sewanee theme party?

I don’t really have a favorite Sewanee theme party.  I’d have to say I enjoy formals the most because it’s fun to get dressed up and completely ruin dresses by dancing all night.  I love seeing all the pretty dresses and getting the whole fraternity to dance.  And of course, the liquid refreshments aren’t bad either.

What is on your Sewanee bucket list?

There is a half-marathon coming up soon in Sewanee that I really hope to do.  It’s a trail run, and I’ve never run a half-marathon before so I’ve been training since the beginning of the school year. Unfortunately, I got side tracked with the production of The Metamorphoses and its rehearsals, so I need to pick the running back up again.  Also, I have yet to streak the quad….so feel free to push me onto the seal the next time you see me in Church.
