Happy Friday! In case you’re stumped for makeup ideas for the weekend, here are a few tutorials I found on YouTube that I think are really great. I tried to include a wide variety of styles, but this list isn’t exhaustive, there are literally thousands of tutorials like these out there. I grabbed a few that are my favorites to give you a great place to start!
Going Out…
I like this video because it also has a hair element that’s kind of fun, and it’s a great example of this year’s trend for the super dark lip. The only downside is that the sound quality isn’t great so you’ll have to turn up your volume.
Every Day…
I really like this look because it’s subtle but also really put together. If you have time to do this before class, it would be a really good look to go with class dress. This could also work for going out, especially if you switched up the lip color, so I also love the versatility.
On a Budget…
God bless women who do drugstore makeup tutorials, I honestly don’t know where I would be without them. This one has such nice colors and the final look is really nice and easy to wear. It’s also really great to see a tutorial that wouldn’t cost me two hundred dollars to recreate if I wanted to.
Cruelty Free…
The girl who does this video is so cute! I really liked this one because it felt like makeup that I might actually do every day and it’s nice to see people calling attention to the great cruelty-free products that are out there.
Unlimited Budget…
This is a great tutorial and a really nice look, but basically every product she uses is over twenty dollars so—for me at least—it’s more of a dream look. If you wanted, you could also find less expensive, similar products to recreate the look.
Something Completely Different…
So many of these tutorials were all about warm copper tones and soft browns, so I was really excited to find one that was totally different. This one features olive green eye shadow that looks really good. I definitely hope to try this sometime!
