Let’s All Welcome The New Royal Baby

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Seton Hall chapter.

Another Royal baby has made its way into the world.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have welcomed their son on May 6th, 2019. The couple announced his name, Archie Harrison Mounbatten-Windsor, in an Instagram post.

Queen Elizabeth is a great grandma and proves once again her lineage fire. It is rumored that the name Archie came from Meghan’s childhood pet, a cat!

Archie is apparently one of the top 20 baby names of 2019, and little Archie has some real perks. He can be a dual citizen and has citizenship to the USA as well as England. The baby is also bi-racial and the first bi-racial Royal baby since the 1800’s.

Baby Archie is officially seventh line to the throne, behind his dad. Although his dad is Prince Harry, the baby will not be titled a prince, instead a Lord or the Earl of Dumbarton.

What an exciting week in the Royal world!
