Fun Fact: I’m an avid whistler! I really like whistling the Harry Potter theme song in the stairwell of the library. It has like a 3-second echo that is perfect for the song!

Involvement on Campus: President of the American Marketing Association, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center Board Member, and Development Intern in the Albers School of Business and Economics

What is your favorite thing about Seattle University?

I came to SeattleU specifically for the small class sizes. I grew up going to alternative schools where I always had great relationships with my teachers, so coming to college I knew that is what I wanted as well.

What do you appreciate most about Albers?

I like how easy it is to get involved here. If you want to get a job, or work with your professor outside of class, all you have to do is ask. 9 times out of 10, you’ll get a “yes”. But that’s also probably why I have too many things to juggle at the moment.

What made you want to become involved in AMA?

I like that its more of a generalized professional development club rather than a discipline-specific organization. Marketing is one of those areas that everyone can relate to and becoming associated with an international organization gave our SeattleU chapter resources that we didn’t have before to support our members.

What do you do when you’re not busy being President of the AMA?

Every year I make it a point to take on a project outside of classes and club stuff. Last year, I competed in a year-long business plan competition at SeattleU and another competition for the entire state of WA. I made it past the first couple of rounds for the state-wide competition, and ended up winning the SeattleU competition for my idea of creating an app to connect independent backpackers with locals while traveling the world. Through this project, I got to design a business from the ground up and ended up getting some seed funding for it.

I am a senior at Seattle University, studying both Communications and Spanish. My passions lie in fashion, social justice, writing, and editorial work. I am looking forward to being a Campus Correspondant with Her Campus, and can't wait to create a unique space online with the students of Seattle University.
