Campus Cutie: Sam Asher

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Seattle U chapter.

Name: Sam Asher

Class: Senior

Hometown: Friday Harbor, WA

If you had to pick an actor to play you in a movie of your life, who would it be?

I think Jessica Lange could nail some of the most cathartic moments in my life. I don’t smoke cigarettes, but we’d have to add that into the movie since Jessica looks so good when she smokes.

What are you involved in on campus?

I’m into that CAC life – I also do scenic design for theatre.

Pick a terrible TV show that really resonates with you and tell us why.

Pretty Little Liars is the closest thing to a biography of my life thus far. Mostly because I’m pretty, I’m little, and I’m a liar. On top of that, someone in a bright red jacket with blonde hair has consistently stalked me for the past four years of my life. I can’t figure out who it is but I think Father Sundborg is A. This is unrelated, but does anyone else notice that Blues Clues has the same plot line as this show?

Favorite pick-up line?

“We should make out!” Which seems pretty obvious but it actually has a 30% success rate.

What are you going to do with your post-grad life?

I’m trying to leave Seattle and ultimately design, but I’m also looking at traveling. I’m expecting a lot of struggles but the journey is what it’s about.

If you could reincarnate one celeb and spend the day with them, who would it be and what would you do?

I’d reincarnate 2009 Nicki Minaj and force her to sign a contract to make all her music be exactly like the Beam Me Up Scotty mix tape and promise NEVER to write Anaconda. Then I’d go on a picnic with her.

Hannah Tyne is a sophmore at Seattle University. When she's not traveling the world, you can find her eating excessive amounts of Thai food, exploring her awesome city and hugging puppies.
I am a senior at Seattle University, studying both Communications and Spanish. My passions lie in fashion, social justice, writing, and editorial work. I am looking forward to being a Campus Correspondant with Her Campus, and can't wait to create a unique space online with the students of Seattle University.
