1.) MNGO Cafe

Location: 4176 Convoy St, San Diego, CA 92111

MNGO Cafe is every Mango Lover’s dream. As soon as you enter the establishment, there is a huge mango tree in the middle of the room and hanging from the branches ARE HUGE (fake ofc) MANGOS. But regardless of the mango tree’s authenticity, the deserts make up for its lack there of. They are well known for their Kakigori, Japanese snow ice. I recommend the “MNGO Kakigori” which is mango flavored ice, mango pudding, fresh mango, and house cream sauce.

2.) SomiSomi

Location #1:4620 Convoy St, San Diego, CA 92111

Location #2:9168 Mira Mesa Blvd, San Diego, CA 92126

SomiSomi is my favorite place to get soft-served ice cream! What makes their dessert special is that it is served in “Taiyaki”, a Japanese fish shaped cake, it tastes  both crunchy and chewy! To top it off you can pick from a variety of filling flavors that they will put at the bottom of your Taiyaki, giving an overall unforgettable flavor!

3.) Ding Tea

Location: 8280 Mira Mesa Blvd Ste C, San Diego, CA 92126

There are so many competitors within the boba industry, with that being said we all have our preferred boba spots! However, I feel like the most underrated of them all is Ding Tea. Ding Tea comes in the cutest little cups and their boba is cooked perfectly in my opinion and is definitely worth trying!

4.) Bing Haus

Location: 4425 Convoy St #216, San Diego, CA 92111

Bing Haus is an amazing place for Thai-syled rolled ice cream. The location is very cute and cozy! Lots of ice cream options my favorite is the cookies and cream and Thai!

5.) Gelato Vero

Location: 3753 India St, San Diego, CA 92103

Gelato Vero is by far the best gelato I have ever had! The consistency is insane, so thick (with 5 c’s might I add) and creamy. I am in heaven every time. My all time favorite flavor from here is their Tiramisu which has actual cake pieces inside!

6.) Salt and Straw

Location #1: 1670 India Street San Diego, CA 92101

Location #2: 3705 Caminito Court, Suite 0580 San Diego, CA 92130

If you are crazy about ice cream, loves adventurous flavors, and are willing to take risks on your taste buds for the better, then Salt and Straw is the place for you! This is the most thought provoking ice cream place I have ever been too because I genuinely do not know how they can come up flavors such as; Salted Carmel Thanksgiving Turkey or Sweet Potato Casserole with Maple Pecans, and make them taste so good!? Each month they have signature flavors so stay tuned to try out Decembers Cinnamon Chai Spiced Eggnog or their Gingerbread Cookie Dough! (Don’t worry they have have basic Chocolate and Vanilla too).

7.) Extraordinary Desserts

Location #1: 2870 Fourth, San Diego, CA 92103

Location #2: 1430 Union Street, San Diego, CA 92101

This will be your new go to place for cakes. Trust me. I don’t know what they put in these cakes to make them so addictive but whatever it is, it’s working! I can’t get enough of how moist, rich, and huge these cakes are. Definitely worth the visit and both locations are in downtown so you can walk around the cute shops as well! For my fellow chocolate lovers, my favorite flavor is “The Viking” You will thank me later.

8.) Up2You

Location 1: 7770 Vickers Street Suite #101 San Diego, CA 92111

Location 2: 7510 Mesa College Dr. San Diego, CA 92111

Up2you is the perfect spot for something new and unique! If you love bread and ice cream this is the place for you. With their star dish being Honey Toast with Ice cream this dessert never disappoints.

9.) Nothing Bundt Cakes

Location #1: 5624 Mission Center Rd Suite B San Diego, CA 92108

Location #2: 5950 Paseo Village Way Suite 104, San Diego, CA 92130

Location #3: 5624 Mission Center Rd Suite B, San Diego, CA 92108

Nothing Bundt Cakes is about to be your birthday cake replacement because of how marvelous they make these cakes and how incredibly soft they are! A must try for cake lovers. My favorite is the red velvet with cream cheese frosting and chocolate chips! It never disappoints!
