Maybe it’s just me, but after having my dog on campus since the beginning of the semester, I feel like I don’t have much to do with him besides walk him around campus and Nay Aug Park. After feeling bored and frustrated the other day, I went online and found out that a local event for dogs is being held right off of campus!
Take a trip down to Yappy Hour at Zummo’s Cafe with your pup!
Zummo’s is located on 918 Marion Street, Scranton, PA 18509. The event is on Friday, September 22nd from 6-7 p.m. Admission is free! Pay for what you order.
Zummo’s Cafe is a great place to hangout with your friends, catch up on some homework or even get some time to yourself while you enjoy a latte. Zummo’s has fantastic electric city coffee, my favorite is the lavender latte. They also have bomb salads! (Hint.. get the salad special of the day! You can’t go wrong!)
Zummo’s Cafe is welcoming all friendly dogs and owners to join in on some fun. Zummo’s will be selling handmade dog treats as well as Puppachinos! I don’t know about your pup, but mine loves Puppachinos! Bring your dog to make some new friends! Be on the lookout for me and my black and white male Shih Tzu, Ise, at the event! This is a perfect opportunity for all the U of S pups to have some fun. I hope you can make it!
Another plus… Positive reinforcement trainer Leroy and Company will be there to answer ANY dog related questions! Leroy and Company is a local full-service dog training company. They offer private in-home dog training, group classes, and board and train programs. Don’t hesitate to grab one of their cards at the event!
All that Zummo’s asks is to keep your pup on a standard leash (no retractables) and to be respectful of the other dogs and humans in the space! Most importantly, stay safe and have fun!
