Stuff Juniors Say at the End of the Semester

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Scranton chapter.

As junior year comes to an end, I can’t help but become nostalgic at the memories that have been made and the moments that have faded too quickly.  But, most of all, it is so difficult to wrap my mind around the fact that next year my friends and I will be seniors in college.  Time is a scary thing, and it’s really living up to its reputation at the moment.  So, in honor of the final week of junior year, here’s some thoughts and comments current third year students have to say about the past, present and future…

Molly C.: “College actually flew by… I can’t believe next year will be my last.”

Marcus T.: “It’s pretty messed up that we only have one more year left.”

Josh R.: “Time really flies when you’re blacked out and don’t remember much.”

Lauren T.: “Junior year was off its rocker.”

Ralph D.: “We don’t have time to stop and smell the flowers anymore.”

Jamie C.: “I can’t think right now.  I’m too hung-over.”

Kelly B.: “I have enough t-shirts from junior year’s events to last me until Senior year’s events. (Around the World, Beer Olympics, etc.)”

Michael C.: “I guess I have one year left before I have to become a ‘normal’ person. And by normal I mean not going out three to five nights a week.”

Niki I.: “If this is what junior year was like, then I’m scared to see how my liver handles senior year.”

Caroline S.: “We still have one more year to make mistakes… and hopefully learn from them.”

Johnny W.: “If we’re seniors and citizens, doesn’t that technically make us senior citizens…?”

But there is one thing my fellow juniors must always remember:

You are, and forever will be, a Royal.

Julia Troost is a born and raised New Yorker, which comes as no shock once you hear her accent. She is a current senior at the University of Scranton majoring in Occupational Therapy with a minor in Psychology. Having a love for writing and fashion from a young age, HerScranton allows Julia to take a break from the sciences and embody her inner Carrie Bradshaw (circa late 2004). You’ll never see her without a smile on her face or yelling at people to “be optimistic!” Julia looks forward to completing her clinicals at prestigious NYC hospitals, and ultimately working with war veterans.
Samantha is an East Coast girl from Pennsylvania with a New York City attitude and a Florida mindset. Her shopping habits are contagious; she has inherited them from her mom (they say mother knows best, right?). Samantha is a University of Scranton senior majoring in Strategic Communication with a minor in Business. She is the Campus Correspondent of Her Campus Scranton, which she co-founded in September 2014 with her best friend, Elise. She is also the captain for Scranton Love Your Melon and secretary of the University of Scranton's Business Club. Follow her on Instagram and Twitter, @samanthaamilazzo @samanthaliza_
