5 Things Left to Do Before Winter Ends!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Scranton chapter.

1. Ski and SnowboardCome on people, it’s not as hard as it looks! Just because you have one or two boards strapped to your feet does not mean it is dangerous. The thrill you get while flying down a mountain at 30 mph (according to my Snowbuddy app) is definitely worth the frostbite you’ll get on your nose and everywhere else. When March comes, the snow starts to melt and then the trails get icy, so it hurts a lot more when you fall.

2. Snow Tubing and SleddingLike skiing and snow boarding, this becomes a lot harder when the trail gets icy. Your tube tips over while barreling down the hill you tend to hurt some part of your body. I suggest you try it while there is still tons of squishy snow to make your landing cushier.

3. Snowball Fight and Snow AngelsEveryone should start doing these just so school looks like all those cute towns in the Christmas movies where all the kids spend time in the snow with barely any winter clothes on. This one is self explanatory… you need snow for these activities because, duh.

4. Build a SnowmanDo you want to build a snowman? Everyone has seen Olaf and everyone wants their own so might as well make one. It’s getting warmer, the wind is changing from deathly to only sort of painful, and the snow will start to melt soon. It’s time to make your final snowman so you can watch him slowly melt as the spring brings in the warmish air.

5. Hot Chocolate and Hot CoffeeSo I don’t know about anyone else but hot chocolate and hot coffee are definitely a winter thing. The sooner I can get my iced coffee the better. No matter how cold it is in March I think it is time to start pretending it’s warm and buying cold drinks. Fake it till you make it, right?
