10 Things Gilmore Girls Has Taught Me

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Scranton chapter.

Ever since Gilmore Girls premiered on Netflix last year, my life has not been the same. I’ve devoted countless hours to re-watch every episode.  Rory, Lorilai and the rest of the Stars Hollows gang have taught me life lessons that I will always keep with me.  Here are just a few:

1. There are bound to be those tough days.  Just grin and bare it, you’ll make it through.

2. That second, third or even fourth cup of coffee is 100% necessary.

3. It is perfectly okay to have those anti-social, “I hate everyone” days because we have all been there.

4. Those nights when all you need is to go out with your pals and cut loose are completely essential.

5. Hard work always pays off.

6. Finding the right guy is never easy.  Don’t stress, your perfect man is walking on this planet somewhere.

7. Sometimes your mother will drive you completely insane.

8. But, she is also the most important person in your life.  Your mom is the one who knows you better than anyone else.

9. Being quick to think and having the power to persuade people can get you so far in life.

10. The last and most important life lesson- take life as it comes.  Never let anything get in your way.  Don’t settle for anything less than your best.
