If you’re a preppy princess like me, you’ll know it’s basically impossible to walk out of any Lilly Pulitzer store without spending under $100. So how excited do you think I was to learn of the TargetXLilly collaboration? I have been eagerly waiting MONTHS for this collection to hit stores, and tomorrow is finally the day. But how does one prep for the biggest sale of the century? (if you couldn’t tell, I’m really exited)

1. Have your Target account already created: Yes, being online all night may seem like an ensured way to make sure you receive all of your dream pieces. But chances are, stuff is going to sell out fast (Lilly girls HAVE been known to break the internet). Make sure you already have a target account, and your payment and shipping info is up to date. So all you have to do is click a few buttons.

2. Buy in Categories: I’m a strategic shopper-I know what I want, when I want it. Split up your purchase into groups. Your must haves, things you really like, and items you’re not sure about. Buy your must haves first, etc etc.

3. Know your sizes: According to Target reps, the sizing will be based off of the Merona sizes, not Lilly sizes. So make sure to check this out before purchasing.

4. Check out the Accessories: Uhm, beach towels, tea cups, and a gold flask? Who wouldn’t want these!!Make sure to consider items other than the clothing

5. LIMIT YOURSELF: My Mom, sister and I know this from experience. We went to the Lilly warehouse sale in Philly, and did not really look at the prices. We just knew everything was dirt-cheap, and ended up regretting how much we spent. Personally what I did: I put X amount of dollars on my debit card specifically for the sale (since I don’t have self-control when it comes to shopping).

I hope you all receive your dream Lilly items. Good Luck (:

Hello! My name is Angela Kastrunes. I am a senior Fashion Marketing and Management student at SCAD. I am the founder/CC for Her Campus-SCAD. Our chapter has grown so much over the past 3 years. I'm excited to say we have expanded to the Atlanta campus, and now have over 20 members combined. It's very bittersweet to realize this is my last year, working as a CC for HC. After graduation I hope to either work in social media management, PR for a fashion brand/music label, or as an editor of a fashion magazine (or Her Campus Nationals).
