I Tried a Foot Peel So You Wouldn’t Have To!

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SCAD chapter.

I tried a lavender scented foot peel by Baby Foot. It smelt amazing! In the package it comes with two little booties filled with a clear jell like substance, along with little stickers to secure the bootie to your foot. The peel has seventeen different natural ingredients in it.

Directions:

  1. Cleanse your foot first, with soap and water (very important step!!)
  2. After you clean your foot, put the plastic bootie on both of your feet and secure the booties around each ankle with the tape. It is recommended to put a pair of socks on, on top of the booties to firmly secure them. I did this and it helped immensely.
  3. Wear the booties for one hour in order for the product to absorb into your feet.
  4. When the hour is up, remove the plastic bootie and wash your feet with soap and water.
  5. The dead skin cells will begin to peel off within five to seven days after the treatment.
  6. Then the dead skin cells will continue to peel for up to two weeks.

My personal experience with Baby Foot is awesome. I love this product. It is easy and simple to use. It also allows you to sit down and relax so you can finally spend time on yourself.

This is what my foot looked like after about one week and three days. Typically the heel is more rough, which causes it to peel at a slower pace than the rest of the foot. This usually goes for other hard surfaces of the foot as well.

A couple other tips about this product include soaking your feet in warm water before you officially wash them before putting on the booties. Also you cannot reuse the booties for a second peel. The pack only comes with one pair of booties. If your foot is not regularly peeling or is a little dry, use a small amount of moisturizer to loosen up the skin. Do not remove the skin forcefully, let the skin fall of naturally.
