HC: What made you want to attend SCAD?
CN: SCAD wasn’t very high up on the list until I came to visit. Once I saw the city and knew more about the fashion program, I knew it was the perfect fit.
HC: What’s your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
CN: I love to bake! It seems like we always have dessert in the house. I also enjoy hanging out with the girls, and watching scary movies.
HC: How do you balance school and a long distance relationship?
CN: It’s a different kind of balance than most relationships because you can’t make plans to go out or see each other. We Skype at least once a week and we often call each other if we’re just sitting around doing homework.
HC: What are your post-grad plans?
CN: I haven’t made any that are set in stone. I would love to live in Chicago—it’s a great city full of art, and I would be close to my family.
HC: What’s your ideal date?
CN: I would have to say an evening in the city is always a good idea. I really enjoy listening to live music and going to the theater—it gives me an excuse to dress to the nines.
