If you’re a Big Brother 17 fan like me, you’ve probably already matched your friends’ personalities with the appropriate houseguest. Here are my top 10 houseguests and what role they play in your friend group.
Meg: If you’re the Meg of the group, everyone knows they can come to you with anything; you’re most likely called “Mom” more than your real name. You’re always down for a coffee date, and you can make anyone’s day better with your goofy personality. You’re a floater, so you have a lot of friends outside of your immediate group. You’re an honest and loyal friend; you would never do or say anything to hurt any of them.
Steve: Naturally, you’re the group nerd. You tend to stay in on most nights because you have a big test on Monday. You’re the designated editor of all your friends’ papers, and whenever they have a homework question, they go to you without fail. But don’t think they take advantage of you- your friends appreciate the sweetheart you are and they’re there for you no matter what.

Jason: You’re absolutely fabulous! Any occasion, even a quick trip to the grocery store, is a chance to show off your style. You are the Sass Master of your friend group. You’re fun and talkative, which makes you the center of attention most of the time. Even though you love to gossip, you know who your friends are, and if anyone messes with them you’ll be the one to take care of it.
Vanessa: You know you’re the Vanessa of your friend group if you have a tendency to ruin your Saturday nights when your friend accidentally spills some of her drink on you. This results in you balling your eyes out, asking them, “Why would you do this to me? I put all my trust in you.” *wipes eyes* I’ve put so much at stake for you, and this is what you do? How could you do this to me?” You’re the leader of your friend group simply because people are afraid of you and don’t know what you’ll do next. You’re kind of a loose cannon.
Austin (Judas): From first glance, you may be intimidating, but once people get to know you, they’ll soon find out you’re just a big teddy bear. You’re a hopeless romantic and enjoy literature and writing. You’re sweet and true to your friends, but you aren’t one to be taken advantage of, because if anyone crosses you they may just have to deal with… Judas.
Shelli: A simple southern belle. You’re always finding new recipes and DIY projects on Pinterest. You love planning parties and having your girlfriends over for wine night. That being said, you’re pretty basic. You love your Starbucks, and if you don’t have any, you literally can’t.
Julia: You can always see a Julia at a party, flirting and chitchatting with a group of guys. Little do they know that she’ll tear their heart out. If you’re a Julia, you’re a bit of a man-eater. You don’t take life too seriously, and your friends look up to you and welcome your free-spirited attitude.
Liz: Like Julia’s, Liz’s love to party. You love going out with your girlfriends and getting “dance-y.” You probably have a selfie stick that accompanies you everywhere you go, and you love posting the pics on Insta. You’re a bit of a chronic dater, explaining to your friends that every guy you’re talking to “is the one.”
Clay: Everyone knows one: the ultimate frat-boy. You high-five everyone, everywhere you go, all the time. You love throwing the pigskin around the front yard with an ice-cold brew in your hand. The majority of your wardrobe is Vineyard Vines. You’re a nice guy, but honestly, there isn’t much to you. You’re used to things being handed to you, so you’re afraid to make some drastic moves. You prefer hanging with your bros and watching some football.
James: You’re the dare devil in your group. You’re always down to do something different, especially if it includes the outdoors. You’re a big prankster and thrive on making your friends the butt of your jokes. Although you like to make fun of your friends, at the end of the day you guys know you love each other.
