8 Pinterest Recipes to Warm You Up to the Fall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SBU chapter.

The seasons have changed. The leaves are transitioning into their brightest reds, oranges and yellows; the beginning of the impending cold weather is in the air; football season is in full effect; and the brown riding boots and oversized sweaters have taken over campus. This can only mean one thing – fall is here.

Fall means something different to everyone. Whether it be any of the things mentioned above or something else, fall is represented by much more than we realize. However, before you grab your pumpkin spice lattes and hot apple ciders, take a minute to consider what other things are available to satisfy your hunger for the taste of fall.

Pinterest is always a go-to for new findings, especially when recipes are involved. Here’s a few recipes sure to catch the attention of your taste buds this fall.

1. Pumpkin French Toast

Okay, so it’s not quite a pumpkin spice latte but it is something else equally delicious to start your fall day. This tasty rendition of a breakfast classic will surely fulfill the taste for pumpkin.

With a sprinkle of bacon and Colby-Monterey jack cheese, this pizza will melt in your mouth.

5. Apple Cinnamon Pork Chops

If you’re in the mood to try something new and cook a hot meal for yourself and your friends, apple cinnamon pork chops are packed with flavor. We all miss home-cooked meals and since most of us have the access to a kitchen somewhere on or off campus, it doesn’t hurt to try to make your own home-cooked meal right here at Bona’s.

6. Apple Pie Pancakes

One of fall’s favorite past-times is going apple picking and making apple pie. All that gooey goodness and cinnamon warmed up á-la-mode is absolute perfection. However, someone thought of the great idea of putting it in a pancake. So instead of eating your apple pie for dessert, you can have apple pie in a pancake on a crisp fall morning if you so choose.

This season is a warm one, but not temperature-wise. With all the warm colors in the trees and the clothes on our backs, the food should also be the same. Stay warm and happy this season with what you can do on a college budget. But don’t worry – winter break is right around the corner!
