Fall break is right around the corner! Get ready to spend time with family and friends and get a break from classes before the end of the semester. With everybody returning home or going on a vacation for a week, here’s how to travel in style this fall break.

Noise-canceling Headphones

Noise-canceling headphones are a must for students taking longer flights or red-eye flights back home. I always enjoy tuning out my surroundings and controlling the amount of audio simulation I subject myself to. There are so many options! My go-to is the Airpods Pro which is on the pricey side. Still, many affordable options are available, primarily on Amazon, Target, or Walmart.

Your Favorite Slip-On Shoes

The worst thing is having to fiddle with taking off your shoes and going through security. It’ll be your luck if you get that one TSA agent who yells at everyone. Easy slip-on shoes make the most stressful part of the airport less stressful. I usually opt to wear my slip-on Vans, or I’ll wear Adidas slides. Make sure you remember to wear socks; you want to avoid walking on the floor barefoot when going through TSA.

Layers Layers Layers

Airplanes are cold and dry or warm and humid… there’s never an in-between. Since you can’t predicate the cabin temperature of the aircraft, it’s best to dress for both outcomes. Warm leggings are always safe for the airport as you want something that’s not super restricting, comfortable, and breathable. As for your choices for your top, add easy-to-take-off layers. You could choose a long sleeve shirt with an oversized graphic tee, a sweater with a shirt underneath, and a jacket as the outer layer. The choices are endless.

Fanny Pack

Adding a fanny pack for your upcoming trip can make handling all the necessities easy to access. Not only can it be a great way to have everything easily accessible, but there are so many different brands, colors, and styles that they come in. A fanny pack can really tie your outfit together.

That’s it, everyone, have a restful fall break! Stay safe and enjoy time with your family and friends!
