The Perfect Fall Playlist

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at San Francisco chapter.

If you are as much of a Fall lover as I am, then you would  know how important a playlist is for this season. Songs are able to set the mood and depending on the track can either make you happy or sad. To celebrate this beautiful time of the year, I decided to create a playlist for you all. Hopefully these few songs will help you get through this wonderful time.

1. Jack Johnson – “Banana Pancakes”

This song just screams fall, and I’d be dumb not to add in on the list. Whether its a lazy Sunday morning or the beginning of the week, this tune will keep you full of happiness. The smoothness of Jack Johnson’s voice and his talented guitar playing keep you soothed and calm. It gives off a cozy  vibe to it that will leave you warm and fuzzy inside.

2. Daniel Caesar – “Get You ft. Kali Uchis”

As the season progressing so does Daniel Caesar’s career. This hot new artist has been melting hearts with his voice and is the perfect tune for a chilled out day or night in fall. His R&B and Soul vibes give off a relaxed feel intended to keep you serene.

3. Ed Sheeran – “Autumn Leaves”

Okay maybe one of the reasons I put this song in is because it has the word autumn in it, but really any Ed Sheeran song fits the fall mood. It was hard for me to pick just one song, so if you have the time, listen to all of his albums throughout the season. This song in particular leaves you feeling in love as all of his songs do. It’s a great track to listen to when you are feeling sappy and lonely during cuddle weather.

4. Ben Howard – “Old Pine”

Ben Howard is another British fave whose soulful yet soft voice will make you fall in love with him. His strong and lively instrumentals are uptempo, which contrast his smooth voice. Listen to this tune in the morning when you’re ready to start your day and you will be prepared for anything that comes your way.

5. Kodaline – “All I Want”

So this is another sappy song meant to be a tear jerker. I don’t know what it is about fall, but it seems to make everyone soft. Whether you have someone special or not, this song is sure to get you in your feels. The soft beginning leads into a more uptempo ending. Kodaline’s track makes for a good song to listen to on your walk to class. If the weather is nice and crisp, it would pair well with this soothing tune.

Now take this track and add them to your very own playlist!
