HC: How old are you?
MM: 21
HC: What is your major? Why did you choose this as your major?
MM: Mechanical engineering. I’ve always been very mechanical and hands on, so it was pretty easy to figure out what I wanted to major in.
HC: How are you involved on campus?
MM: I’m involved in the society of automotive engineers, but it really hasn’t kicked off yet. I’m interested in joining the 3D printing club or starting a club of my own.
HC: Why did you choose USD?
MM: Most of my family is from San Diego, so I spent a good amount of time down here growing up. I knew this was the city to be in. I chose USD over other schools due to its great engineering program and small class sizes.
HC: What is your favorite thing about USD?
MM: Great food, awesome people, amazing professors, close proximity to everything.
HC: What is your dream job?
MM: My dream job is to be my own boss. I want to start my own company.
HC: What is your favorite movie?
MM: Supercross.
HC: Who is your favorite musical artist? Why?
MM: Nghtmre, because he makes some filth.

HC: What is your favorite thing to do?
MM: It’s either mountain biking or going to ride some Moto. If not those I’ll be driving my 1976 Porsche 911 Turbo up Angeles Crest Highway or up PCH.
HC: Do you have any hobbies?
MM: I’ve been riding Moto and mountain bikes for most of my life. I also have a passion for air cooled Porsches.
HC: What are your plans after college?
MM: I plan on starting my own company along with keeping my passion for air cooled Porsches around.
Thanks for taking the time to speak with Her Campus, Mark!
