10 Reasons to Love and Thank Your Mom

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at San Diego chapter.

Spring Break is finally here! As many of us are heading home to see our families, now is the perfect time to thank our moms for everything they have done for us. Sometimes we get so caught up in our busy lives that we forget to thank and appreciate the people who do the most for us, like our mothers. Here are 10 reasons to love and thank the main woman in your life…mom.

1. Your mom will love you unconditionally, no matter what dumb things you do or how mean and moody you are to her when things in life just aren’t going your way.

2. Your mom will always do your laundry and not complain; no matter how much work she has to do.

3. She will always listen to you whine about your life and give you suggestions, because she’s been through it and has learned life lessons she wants to pass down to you.

4. Your mom knows everything you did in high school, even when you thought you were so tricky…she let you think you got away with it all.

5. Your mom will always be the first to be completely honest on your outfit choice, and won’t hold back if she thinks it’s unflattering.

6. As you get older, her nagging voice that’s in your head telling you what is right and wrong slowly turns into your own voice. And if you’re like me, you laugh every time you realize it.

7. Your mom will always drop anything she is doing if you call, no matter who she’s with or what she’s doing. You’re always her first priority.

8. No matter how old you get, your mom will still try to spoil you every time you come home or she comes to visit.

9. As you grow up, your interests become her interests, no matter how much she hates them and wishes she never showed you them to begin with.

10. When you need someone to talk to, cry to, or get advice from, your mom is always the first person on your mind, because even when you don’t want to hear it, deep down you know your mom is always right. So if you’re not going home for Spring Break, call your mom…it will make her day!
