Dating is one of the parts of being in college, and though everyone might not date, everyone has a story of a bad date someone went on while in college. To avoid this, here are some date ideas specific to Salisbury University and the surrounding areas.
1. Breakfast Bum
This cute breakfast serving restaurant is next to the Starbucks on the retail side of Seagull Square. The food is freshly made to order, so it can be a couple more dollars than it would be to make at home, but it’s also a very easy going environment for a first date.
2. Cove Road Beach
This one is a local secret. Instead of taking a hike to Ocean City, go to Cove Road Beach. It’s about 15 miles from Salisbury University and the best part is no one really goes there! It’s almost always empty of any people, but parking space is limited. This is obviously one that would be best in warm weather.
3. Your Place
Spend the date playing video games, doing homework, and eating good food at YOUR place. People love going out for dates, but the best date memories I have are at my own apartment. It shows that you’re comfortable with the other person enough to open your home to them. Even if you only watch a movie, nothing is more cozy than being next to someone you care about in the comfort of your own bed.
4. Mini Golf in OC
Finally, there are a lot of things to do in Ocean City, but one of my favorites is playing mini-golf. This activity can be on the more costly side, but it’s one of the cheapest things to do in the city. Friendly competition is always welcome on a date.
