Favorite thing about Saint Mary’s: I can’t pick one thing that I love more about Saint Mary’s because I truly love everything about it. I’ve been so fortunate not only with the education I am earning, the opportunities I have been given, but most importantly, the forever friends that I have made. I have been more than lucky to have made so many friends that I know will be forever friends. Over the course of the past 3 and half years, in many different ways, these girls have become more than friends to me, they have become sisters and I know that without them, my experience at Saint Mary’s would not have been as rich or extraordinary as I can confidently say it is today. From Domer Fest, to studying abroad, to the fourth floor LeMans with all 26 of us taking over, to Legacy Village and beyond, these girls have made it that much more memorable and fun to be able to call myself a Saint Mary’s College Belle!
Favorite spot on campus: Laying on a bench by the lake on a sunny day with my fellow Belles, but the LeMans greens come in as a close second.
Best piece of advice you’ve ever gotten: Out of all the famous quotes in the world, my grandma Faso has always given me the best advice. The top 4 best pieces of advice she has ever given me are: “Speak softly, and people will listen,” “Experience is the best teacher,” “Always count to 10 before you make a decision,” and “Love many, trust few, always paddle your own canoe.”
One thing you could tell your freshman self: Life doesn’t always go as planned, but everything happens for a reason and no matter what, it will all work out. So, dance on the tables, go out the night before a big test, spend hours on the Brother’s patio, eat ice cream every day if you feel like it, close down the bar and lay on the floor if you want, but always remember to bring your Belles along with you and never forget how lucky you are to be at a place as special as Saint Mary’s College.
Favorite place to travel: Italy. Duh.
If you could have dinner with one celebrity, dead or alive, who would it be: This is a tough one, but I’m going to have to go with Julia Roberts. I have never seen a movie with her in it that I didn’t like. Plus, who wouldn’t want to travel the way she did in Eat, Pray, Love?
