Welcome back to school! It’s tough to let go of summer and start getting back into the swing of things. Hopefully the back to school essentials listed below will help to get you back on your feet!

  1. Muji Pens

Start off the school year right with the perfect pens. Muji pens are great for taking notes and have the ability to magically make your handwriting look better than it actually is. There is a Muij store located right across the street from the Ted Rogers School of Management and the prices of most pens range from $1-$3!

  1. Planner

At the start of each semester we always tell ourselves that we’re not going to procrastinate, but by mid October we find ourselves curled up in bed binge watching shows on Netflix with our textbooks pushed to the side. This school year try staying organized by using a planner! The Ryerson Student Union is giving out free planners and so is the Ted Rogers Student Society. Stop by their offices to pick up a free one, or you can also check out Indigo for their large selection of planners.

  1. AE Soft & Sexy Tees

As Ryerson students we unfortunately don’t have the luxury of wearing pajamas to class especially when the fashion students’ outfits are always on fleek. A great alternative to pajamas are the soft & sexy t-shirts from American Eagle. Why pick between style and comfort when these t-shirts offer both?

  1. Starbucks Tumbler

When living on a student budget, one simply can’t afford to pick up a beverage from Starbucks every single morning. Why not brew your own tea or coffee at home but still arrive to class looking fabulous with a Starbucks tumbler?

  1. NYX Lip Lingerie

Can’t get your hands on the Kylie Jenner Lip Kit? Or maybe you simply can’t justify spending over $70 to get it from eBay.  You can still rock beautiful matte lips with NYX Lip Lingerie. These liquid lipsticks are offered in a wide range of nudes and have a great colour payoff. By the way, there’s a NYX store conveniently located right inside the Eaton Centre!

  1. Etude House Eyebrow Tint

Etude House has been taking the beauty world by storm. This Korean cosmetic brand offers incredible skincare and makeup products at reasonable prices. If you want to change up your hair colour for fall, seriously consider this product for your brows. If you’re too lazy to fill in your brows every morning, this brow tint is perfect for you as you can probably get away with only filling them in every couple of days.

  1. Plaid shirts

Back to school also means the return of the plaid. I really think plaid shirts should be a staple in everyone’s closet as they are extremely comfy and versatile. Plaid has been around since the 1700’s and I don’t expect them to go out of style anytime soon. For the most inexpensive plaid shirts, I highly recommend Black Market down on Queen Street West. Everything there is $10 or under!

  1. Knee high socks

As the weather gets colder, we can’t get away with walking around with our bare legs anymore. Stay cozy with a pair of knee high socks, and you can even pair them with some cute knee high boots to complete the outfit.
