Webtoon is an app where creators are able to post and share comics with people around the world. About a year ago, I downloaded the app because someone recommended that I read the comic “Lore Olympus”. Ever since then, I’ve been obsessed with the app reading stories almost every single day. I feel like these bite-sized comics are a really fun and engaging way to interact with a story. I’ve searched the app and found a few Webtoons that any first-time comic reader would love.

Although this series is completed I have come back to read this comic over and over again. This series is about a woman named Lucy who has a crazy sense of smell. Throughout the comic, Lucy is looking for her “perfect taste” which has been lost since her favorite restaurant Dimanche has had new owners. This Webtoon features a loveable cast of characters and shows an amazing love of food.

This webtoon is still ongoing and literally is one of the highlights of my Sunday. It’s about Dr. Matias Guevara a doctor and Dr. Fernando Guevera, a veterinarian who have clinics next to each other. This Webtoon features two men with broken hearts who at first don’t like each other, become friends, and then (hopefully) something else.

Gwendolyn is a princess who is depicted to be unattractive and sometimes can be perceived as scary. When Gwendolyn stumbles into the woods one night she finds herself in the middle of the Cursed Princess Club a society that is filled with princesses who have been cursed. One of the things that I love most about this Webtoon is the fact that it’s really body-positive, heartwarming, and downright hilarious at times.

Originally I clicked on the series because the main character Bea had body diversity that (unfortunately) not a lot of Webtoons have. However, I stayed for the interesting storyline and find myself eagerly awaiting season two of the comic series. After Bea realizes that her ex has a date to her sister’s wedding she decides to summon a demon to pretend to be her date. However, after the wedding, the demon decides that he will not leave Bea alone.

I’m not usually the type of person who will read anything thriller-related. But, “Not Even Bones” was so captivating that I couldn’t stay away. Nita’s mother hunts down the supernatural and sells their body parts on the black market. Nita breaks the bodies down and performs surgery on them…that is until Nita ends up on the black market herself. This webtoon is based on the YA book series of the same name.

The art style of “Suitor Armor” is nothing less than absolutely gorgeous and the storyline is nothing less than absolutely captivating. Lucia is a Lady-in-Waiting with a big secret. When Modeus a supernatural knight is assigned to be Lucia’s bodyguard she suddenly realizes that she is falling head over heels with him. Lucia also discovers that the kingdom that she lives in as well as the knight assigned to protect her isn’t all that meets the eye.

First of all, I have to say that I’m personally offended by the fact that every single character in this Webtoon is so attractive. Jokes aside, this Webtoon’s storyline is absolutely fascinating to me. Tan is the royal advisor to the King who has a personal vendetta against witches. However, after getting turned into a bull he is forced to become allies with a powerful witch named Aro. This is another comic with a slow-burn love story that makes me die a little every time I open the comic.
There are dozens of other Webtoons that I absolutely adore to read on a regular basis. Webtoon is a fun app filled with so many stories that anyone can find a perfect fit. If you download it, I can guarantee that you’ll find a perfect comic for you.
