These Three Guys Started Their Own Clothing Line At Rowan

Bomba Dulce founders, Andy Charles, James Parker and Twesh Chowdhury have caused plenty of commotion on Rowan’s campus with their explosive new clothing line. The translation of Bomba Dulce is “Sweet Bomb,” and is the result of a spontaneous trip to the local art stores during winter break of 2010.

These three men share not only a ton creativity and drive to launch Bomba Dulce successfully, but also a determination to be their own bosses. Bomba Dulce was part of the previous semester’s fashion show and contributed funds toward Japan relief efforts.

The trio began the company by designing t-shirts, and they are currently working on their fall line.

“The line consists of a variety of installments of outerwear and shirts, and some special accessories,” said Chowdhury, a marketing major. “These will be dropped every month with a special event; this month we will be dropping crewneck sweatshirts which was accompanied by the skate movie we produced.”

The Bomba Dulce crew has just released their very own three-minute mini movie produced by Antoine Braxton on October 12. The movie is available on their website, www.BombaDulce.com.

Bomba Dulce is collaborating with Run NJ to work on various other promotional projects in addition to those currently being spearheaded by the founders. 

Chowdhury stressed that they are trying their best to comply with every order they receive to ensure they are produced with the highest level of quality possible.  The trio is optimistic about this explosive new line and what the future might bring for them and their customers.
 
“We are very excited to introduce our very own snapback hats in the near future, and everything else is a surprise!” said Chowdhury.

I guess that means you’re going to have to stay tuned for what’s in store from the Bomba Dulce collection!

Julissa is currently a senior at Rowan University located in Glassboro were she is a proud sister of Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Inc. from the INVICIBLE theta chapter. She majors in journalism and has a double concentration in International studies and New Media. Julissa hails from Passaic, NJ, even though she is a New Yorker at heart. A senior English major at Rowan University, Meghan spends most of her time reading, writing, working out, and watching dramatic TV shows. She also likes to experiment in the kitchen, trying out the recipes she learned in cooking class during her semester abroad in Florence. Meghan has recently completed an internship in the Features department of the Courier-Post newspaper, and will continue to work for them and Jersey Eats magazine as a freelancer. Aside from class, most of her time on campus is spent in the publications suite, where she is the new Features Editor of Rowan's award-winning student newspaper, The Whit. Sushi, country music, and the gym get her through her days, and she is so excited to be joining the Her Campus team!
