Hey, Profs! Meet this week’s Campus Cutie, Amira Kaced!
Age: 19
Major: Education. K-6. My dual is writing arts and American history. I’m not really crazy about it though.
Hobbies: I love to run; I can run forever. But I also LOVE laying in my bed watching netflix, especially when I have something important to do.
Favorite book: Catcher in the Rye
Favorite show: My favorite show is Game of Thrones. I never gave this show a chance at first, but after a lot of peer pressure, I really got into the show.
Favorite season: My favorite season is summer. I love the heat. Nintey degrees is ideal for me. I think it’s because I’m Algerian and my family is from the dessert. People always complain in my car because the heat is always on; I feel like it’s always cold all the time. If you ever touch my hand, it’s freezing cold. I do not do well in the winter.
Favorite thing to do with friends: I don’t have a favorite thing that I do with my friends. I have a specific group of friends that I do random crazy things with, but anything I do with them is a good time. From driving to NY from NJ at midnight for no reason but to order terrible Chinese food from a sketchy basement, to just laying in their house eating their food. Maybe my favorite thing to do with them is eat? Or maybe I just love food.
Your idea of a perfect day: Perfect day for me is a day where I am completely left alone. All I want to do is sleep and eat. I am secretly that crazy old man who sits on his porch screaming at kids to get off his lawn. But my days are far from that, but I’m not one to complain. Every day is perfect as long as I have my health.Career/education goals: My career and educational goal is to be a teacher.
Personal motto: “Don’t judge me because I sin differently from you” — my personal motto. I say that to myself probably 10 times a day. I don’t like to judge people at all, I always justify all behaviors people do. Even if someone shot my leg, I’d probably try to see it from their point of view before getting upset. Good luck getting me angry; it’s close to impossible.
Advice to freshmen: Sometimes it’s easy to think you’re all alone in a sinking boat. Trust me, we’re all in the same boat. We will reach our destination just fine.
Advice to other girls: Never mistake infatuation for love. Infatuation can fool you into going way too far, way too fast, way too soon.
