This Week’s Eye Candy: Irving Pole

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Rider chapter.
Irving Pole doesn’t only have a fit athletic frame to reel all the ladies in, but he’s also got a bright cinematic smile to sweeten the deal. We talked to him about being a part of the fraternity known for their good looks, asking girls out…and what he notices first in a woman.

What do you love about being a Kappa?
Everything! Becoming a part of this organization was one of the best decisions I could have ever made. One thing that I favor most about being a kappa is the bond that I have with my brothers and to know that I have people I can come to besides my immediate family when times get rough. Entering college I didn’t know anything about fraternities or sororities, so I was basically self inspired when it came to Greek life.

??Do you consider yourself to be a “pretty boy”?
Yes and no. Yes, because I am very conscious of my appearance at all times, I cannot just walk out of my room just wearing any old thing or looking any type of way. No, because I’m not afraid to loosen up the tie and get my hands dirty when I have to.??

If you had to rank yourself from 1 to 10, what would you rank yourself?
Wow this one is tough, I would have to say I would give myself and 8 because im not perfect but I have a good personality, sense of style, very athletic and I can be quite humorous at times but no matter how many good qualities I have I still remain humble and that is what’s most important to me.

?What are you insecure about?
I don’t know if this is considered an insecurity or not, but I dislike rejection. Being as though I don’t favor rejection I tend not to put myself in a situation where I could be rejected.

Did anyone ever help you figure out how to ask out a girl?
Having three strong minded, beautiful older sisters helped out a lot when it came to asking girls out. Some advice they would give me was to be myself at all times and never let them [girls] see you sweat. But no matter what anyone says I think there is always a sense of nervousness when “asking out” that special someone.

Your first crush, what drew you to her?
Both her personality and looks, unfortunately we never went out, and it broke my heart when she went back to her ex. This was when I was a freshman in high school when I was very naïve to the game.

So, what’s your type?
A few things I look for in a woman is intelligence, ambition, good sense of style down to earth, and she defiantly has to have a sense of humor, because I love to laugh. A physical attribute that catches my eye first is her smile, and as odd as it may sound I’m not really big on eyes but if she does have nice eyes that’s always a plus. Yes personality is more important when looking for a potential girlfriend because a pretty face only goes but so far simple as that.

What was your worst dating experience?
I haven’t had any bad dating experiences yet and hopefully I don’t have any. *crosses fingers*
