Well, I never thought that I would find myself wanting to move to Paris and start a new life, but this show has made me reconsider. The Netflix show stars Lily Collins as Emily, and I do not think that there would be a better person to play the role. Emily is a bold, yet sweet girl, who has to navigate her way around a city that she has never been to before, with a language that she does not speak. Most people would never think to do this because going to a city that speaks a language that you do not know at all can be pretty scary. However, Emily finds a way to make the most out of her time in Paris. As most people know, Paris is the city of love, which is shown throughout the series. Emily is an American in Paris, which most men find attractive and they end up falling for her the minute they meet. She is a determined girl who knows her priorities. She likes to keep her work separate from her personal life, or at least she tries. You will see in the series that she begins to grow close with many random people she meets in Paris, but that is what makes the show even more exciting.
‘Emily in Paris’ is a must-see Netflix show. I cannot express to you how badly I want to move to Paris and fall in love while eating croissants at gorgeous cafes. A girl can dream, right? It really gets you thinking about how you may be happy in the situation you are in now, but you should try something outside of your comfort zone because that may be what you have needed your entire life. Emily was just a girl from Chicago, but she had the opportunity to pack her bags and start a new life for herself in Paris. She had no restrictions; no one could tell her what to do with her life. She could explore Paris on her own, make new friends, and create an amazing social media account. I think that life can be crazy sometimes, but it is important to remember that there are other opportunities out there calling your name. This series has definitely made me consider studying abroad somewhere. At first, I wanted to study in a city with a language that I spoke, but Emily makes Paris seem like it is worth not knowing the language. Almost every person she meets in Paris ends up speaking English as well, which makes her feel a lot better. But I admire Emily. She lives for herself, and she does whatever she wants. She is eager to be successful and live an exciting life.
This show taught me to live my best life. If there is a place calling my name somewhere, I should go to it. You never know what is waiting for you there. If there is one show that I can recommend to someone to watch right now, it is definitely ‘Emily in Paris’. Do not be afraid to run off to a different country and fall in love. Not only did Emily fall in love in Paris, but she fell in love with her friends and the city of Paris itself.
