She’s the First provides scholarships to girls in low-income countries, fostering first-generation graduates and cultivating the next generation of global leaders.
Working closely with our international, locally-driven NGO partners, scholars are identified based on financial need, scholastic merit, and their potential to become positive influencers and leaders within their communities.
We focus on adolescent girls in secondary (high) school and on quality education, including a support system like mentors, tutors, and extracurriculars that teach them life skills and leadership; 100% of what you raise and donate to the scholarship fund goes directly to the girls at our partner schools. We fundraise separately for our other programs and operating needs.
She’s the First is represented on high school and university campuses all over the country by independent chapters under the direction of trailblazing student leaders. Our campus chapters host fundraisers throughout the year to sponsor girls at She’s the First partner schools, while spreading awareness and creating a dialogue in their residence halls, student center, local community, and of course, on social media. We sponsor 529 girls to date in 10 countries!
