What is your goal upon graduation?
My end goal is to become a surgeon. I am thinking plastic surgery or pediatric surgery, but I do not know yet. I want to pursue an MBA in health care management first, though.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
In my spare time I like to write. I have my own men’s fashion blog, and I write fashion features for the school’s newspaper. I also like to browse the Internet for latest fashion trends or styles and see how I can play with these trends through my wardrobe.
Describe your sense of style.
My sense of style is something I cannot put into a certain category. It depends on my mood. Some days I want to put on a pair of jogger sweats and dress it up. Other days I want to dress like a “hipster” or a “prepster.” It all varies.
Who is your fashion inspiration?
Kanye West and Olivier Rousteing (the creator of Balmain.) I love how Balmain uses the biker pattern and his stuff just screams, “Yes, I am here, large and in charge.” Kanye West is just my fashion icon in general. He is the reason I got my first pair of chelsea boots.
What would you wear if you were invited to spend the day at the White House?
If I was invited to spend a day at the White House, I would probably wear a nice tailored suit with a pair of chelsea boots, or something a little less conservative, such as chinos and maybe some boots with a button-up underneath a cardigan.
What are your favorite stores to shop at?
My favorite stores to shop at right now are Zara and Urban Outfitters. Over winter break Zara had an amazing sale and their things are made with good quality fabrics. I like Urban because you can find a really nice edge to their clothing.
What is your favorite piece in your closet?
My favorite piece in my closet is my charcoal grey cardigan featured in this article. This cardigan can go with clothes across a broad spectrum, and I love the fact that the color isn’t seasonal nor is the material.
What is something you believe every man should have in his closet?
One thing every man should have in his closet is a sweater. It is the easiest thing to play with when it comes to styling. You can dress it up and down without a problem.
