“We are all French.”

On Friday night, in the beautiful City of Light, horror struck the world as terrorism took the lives of innocent citizens.

Over 100 people were killed and over 300 people were injured with a third of them in critical condition. Most of the casualties were killed at the Bataclan theatre. ISIS has taken full responsibility for these unfortunate events.

These attacks which included suicide bombings, holding people hostage and mass shootings were the most brutal attacks to occur in France since World War 2.

As the Eiffel Tower turned off its lights to mourn the victims of this devastating tragedy, the rest of the world reacted with utmost support and sympathy by projecting the national colours of France on major landmarks.

President François Hollande of France vowed to fight against terrorism and claimed that this was a prepared action with inside help. He has declared a state of emergency in France and the borders of the country remain closed.
