1. Baby powder as Dry Shampoo

We all know that it’s not great to wash your hair every day but that doesn’t exactly make our lives any easier! Hair still gets greasy and no one wants to walk out of the house looking like they haven’t showered in 3 days. For those of you who don’t know, baby powder can actually double up as dry shampoo! Just sprinkle some on the roots of your hair, rub it in, and voila! Dry shampoo can get pricey whereas baby powder can be found at your local drugstore or dollar store!

2. Green Tea Bags to Depuff Under the Eyes

We’ve all seen movies where cucumbers are placed on your eyes to reduce puffiness but what you may not know is that tea bags are even more efficient! As college students, all-nighters are unavoidable. It could be studying for exams or marathon-ing your favourite TV show on Netflix. At one point or another, we’ve all regretted the decision once we wake up to find puffiness around our eyes. It’s a tragedy I tell you, a tragedy! Luckily for you, tea bags can be a quick fix to this problem! Simply drop two (green or black) tea bags in hot water for a minute or two before removing them to let them cool down. Once they are at a safe temperature, place them on your eyes for approximately 2-3 minutes. You’ll look more awake in no time!

3. Coffee Filters as Blotting Papers

I don’t know about you but waking up to a fresh pot of coffee is one of my favourite parts of the morning. What you might not know is your coffee filters can double up as blotting papers! Feel a little oiliness making its way on your face? Just dab it with a coffee filter and you are good to go! For on-the-go, you can even cut them into rectangular shapes and throw them in your purse. It’s a win-win for everyone!

4. Conditioner as Shaving Cream

Doubling up your conditioner as shaving cream is not only friendly to your wallet, but it actually makes your legs smoother than ever! With the moisturizing effects of conditioner, the hair on your body will be softer and therefore a lot easier to shave. You’re welcome ladies.

5. Raw Honey as a Face Mask

Because honey is filled with beneficial properties for the skin, using it as a face mask is the best way to get a better complexion for a price far cheaper than store-bought facial masks. Honey has been shown to help with acne and aging as it’s filled with antioxidants and is naturally antibacterial. It’s also a great complexion boost because of its hydrating factors, which will leave a natural glow to your skin. Simply put a thin layer of raw honey on your face and leave it on for approximately 30 minutes before rinsing with lukewarm water.
