“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” That is what Buddy the Elf tells us. Our Campus Celebrity, Mallory Pratt, is doing just that: spreading Christmas cheer singing in the Purdue Christmas Show.
With winter in full swing and Christmas just around the corner, Purdue University is hosting it’s 78th Annual Purdue Christmas Show this weekend at the Elliott Hall of Music.
When Mallory isn’t busy studying for her Agribusiness degree, or working on her fitness as a Group-X Fitness Instructor, she is singing as a member of the University Choir. A motivated junior here at Purdue University, Mallory is also involved in the Purdue University Fitness Association, Purdue Convocations and her church, St. Thomas Aquinas.
“The show is going to ROCK! Every one of the songs will move the audience in some way,” Pratt says. “I’m so fortunate to have the opportunity to still participate in choir which truly brings a great amount of joy to my life.”
So what part of the show should you look forward to? Mallory is excited for the Nativity scene at the end of the Cantata. Pratt encourages all Purdue students to attend the show. “What is there to lose? Attending the Purdue Christmas Show should be on everyone associated with Purdue’s bucket list.”
Another perk to going this year? Student tickets are buy one, get one free! Tickets are available at any Purdue Box Office. If you missed Saturday’s show, there is a show on Sunday, December 4th at 2pm.
Get a ticket, see our Campus Celebrity Mallory Pratt sing in an amazing show, and maybe even sing-a-long with the festive Christmas songs!
