Last Friday, Taylor Swift herself started the long-awaited Eras Tour. This musical icon kept us all in suspense since she announced the tour in November. Swifties all across the nation have been anxiously awaiting this pop star to hit the road!

Just this last weekend, Taylor Swift began her newest tour, the Eras Tour, in Glendale, Arizona. She had two shows in the State Farm Stadium and it is safe to say that the opening of her tour was a success. The first night that she performed, there were around 70,000 screaming fans enjoying her reemergence into the touring world. The last tour she went on was the Reputation Tour in 2018. She had planned to go out again for Lover Fest, but due to Covid-19, she had to cancel the tour. After the Reputation Tour, she released four new albums and two re-recorded albums, as well as some other works. She released Lover in 2019, Folklore and Evermore in 2020, and Midnights in 2022. She released both of the re-recorded albums, Fearless and Red (Taylor’s Version) in 2021. Aside from new albums, Taylor Swift has also released a number of songs from the vault. A few of these include “Mr. Perfectly Fine”, “All Too Well-10 Minute Version”, and “Message in a Bottle”.

Since she has released so much new music, Swifties all over have been anxiously waiting for the pop star to head to their hometown so they could bask in her glory. Luckily, the tour started with a bang this past Friday. The Glendale shows were opened by Paramore and Gayle. This show lasted a little over three hours and Taylor Swift sang 44 songs. She had dozens of costume changes and she performed songs from each era of her music career.

Needless to say, fans are ecstatic for the show to come to their town so they can see this spectacle for themselves. There are 52 total shows in the United States and international dates are to be announced. So, fans across the country, get ready for her greatest tour yet!
